Patri­cia Mycek Sumpter is a dis­placed Welling­ton­ian now liv­ing in Hoope­ston, Ill., though she and her hus­band Jack plan to return to their home­town to retire. A 1971 grad­u­ate of Welling­ton High School, she worked with her father and hus­band at Wagner’s wild bird food plant for more than 23 years before the local plant closed and the Sumpters moved to Illi­nois to con­tinue their employment.
