2 jailed in killing of Ohio woman in shallow grave
COCHRANTON, Pa. (AP) — Two northwestern Pennsylvania women are jailed on charges they killed a woman they knew from Ohio, whose body was found in a shallow grave near their home.
Pennsylvania State Police say 20-year-old Brandy Stevens, of Beaver Township, Ohio, was reported missing Saturday and believed to be endangered, though authorities could not immediately provide details to The Associated Press on Thursday.
The Erie Times-News (http://bit.ly/MJIESS ) is reporting that police searched the residence of the suspects, 20-year-old Ashley Barber and 18-year-old Jade Olmstead, of Cochranton, on Wednesday before finding Stevens' body in the grave.
The Crawford County coroner planned an autopsy Thursday. Online court records don't list an attorney for the suspects and the district attorney did not immediately return a call.
State police in Meadville planned to release more information later in the day.
